Important regulations and information to note

As with any visa there are rules and regulations to associated with the programme. 

Applicants must:

• Not use this visa as a steppingstone to stay indefinitely in the USA, your intention should be to return to Ireland after your programme and not seek another visa. 
• Applicants must enter the USA by the DS2019 start date as stated on your DS2019 Work authorisation form.
• Applicants must register for SEVIS within 10 days of your DS2019 start date. 
• Applicants have 90 days from your DS2019 start date to secure and begin an internship. 
• Position must be an internship and directly related to degree. 
• Internship must be full time min 32hrs a week.
• Can be paid or unpaid.
• Multiple entry visa so you can come home for a holiday ( see travelling outside the US.
• Can travel anywhere in the USA no limits but we do not recommend travelling to somewhere where internships are readily available.
• No remote position – Your company must have an office space and your internship should take place in this office setting.
• Pax must have appropriate insurance (Backpacker level cover) for the trip. The approved policies are:
