Things to consider before you travel

Here are some useful actions you should consider prior to departure: 

• Make a copy of all your important documentation and leave in a safe place or with a trusted family member or friend. 
• Research internships. 
• Update your CV to a Resume. 
• Update your LinkedIn profile. 
• Scan your network to see if you know anyone who may have connections in the USA that help e.g. old lecturers, work colleagues, neighbours etc. 
• Research teams and social media groups in the USA to join. 
• Research short term accommodation for when you arrive and print off any reservations you may need. 
• Research transport to the airport and also from the airport to your accommodation when you arrive to your destination. 
• As Health care and Dental care in the USA can be expensive, we recommend visiting your Health Care provider and Dentist for any final checks prior to going.
