Getting your DS7002 Training Plan approved

Modified on Tue, 27 May at 8:16 PM

Once you have got verbal confirmation from your company they are happy to offer you the internship position, you will need to ask them to complete a DS7002 Training Plan. For assistance with this, please see the help section of your USIT account. Once they have done so, your next steps will depend on who your US Sponsor is.

AAG Process:

  • Fill out the Host Company Placement Form, available on your AAG Application, to notify them that you have found a placement.
  • Once you have submitted the form, Alliance Abroad Group will reach out to your Host Company to gather the Host Company Application & Agreement, DS-7002 Training/Internship Placement Plan, and Host Company’s Workers Compensation Policy.

IENA Process:

  • You will need to IENA once you placement has been confirmed. Please send IENA the following documents:
    1. Completed DS7002 Training Plan
    2. The name and contact details of your supervisor in the company.
  • IENA will then create a Host Profile for your employer, where they will be able to upload all required documents.

If you have secured your position prior to arrival in the USA, you can invite your company to complete the Training Plan however you must wait until you arrive in to the USA before submitting this to your sponsor for vetting and approval.

Please note, based on the size, revenue and whether your host company has taken on an intern before – a site visit may be required. This will incur an additional fee that is charged by the sponsor to the host company or participant. Unfortunately there is no way of knowing if this will be required before the Training Plan has been submitted.
